Youth building social capital

The very heart and soul of CISV, Junior Branch comprises young local CISVers between the ages of 11 - 25, who develop intercultural and leadership skills through educational and social activities. Juniors manage their own activities and take an active role in the administrative responsibilities of their chapters. Operating through a network at the national and international level, Juniors organize their own programmes on a wide variety of themes, such as social justice and the environment. Junior Branch activities are aimed at building community, developing skills and promoting peace through education.

Our Junior Branch (JB) is all children/teenagers ages 10+ who are CISV members. Our Waterloo CISV Chapter of JB Exec holds a variety of monthly 'Activities/Events' which all JB's of our chapter, are invited to attend!

We have a JB Exec who plan and organize all these activities with the guidance of 2 adult liaisons. If you are interested in joining this team, please contact Lois McLaughlin or Christine Gruber-Kelly.

JBpedia is a webpage designed to connect Junior Branch members from all over the world. It can be edited by "Executive" members of Junior Branches all across the world, and is a way to share information between international JBs. JB Waterloo has a page too! That's where we post information about selection and applications, our yearly calendar of events, and info on what our chapter has been up to. There's also some "get-to-know-you" tidbits about our JB as well, and each of our Exec members has their own personal page to post anything they want about themselves!
