A four week long program for eleven year old children. Delegations of two boys and two girls travel with an adult leader to a residential camp consisting of twelve delegations from twelve different countries.
This program pairs delegates with same sex delegates from another country. Can be either one month long in the same year (2 weeks hosting, 2 weeks away), or one month long in two separate years (one month hosting year 1, one month away year 2 or vice versa)
A summer Camp Delegation consists of 4 - 6 delegates and an adult leader. It is a 3 week program that allows participants to be directly involved in planning the daily programs and activities, which helps them to acquire valuable planning and leadership skills.
A JC attends a village camp in a leadership position and acts as a liaison between the leaders and staff and the children. They are involved in activity planning as well as supervision.
This three week long program allows delegates to formulate their own opinions about international and inter-cultural problems by exposing them to the ideas of young people from other nations and cultures.
The youth meeting is a 1-2 week themed camp that is organized to provide an opportunity for youth to explore important intercultural issues and promote continued CISV participation.
International People's Project (age 19+)
Approximately 25 delegates from around the world contribute to project for three weeks. In partnership with local institutions, delegates participate in hands-on work involving a specific theme or project, such as nature conservation or immigration.
Leadership positions in CISV involve Village, Interchange, Summer Camp delegation leaders; Village, Summer Camp and Seminar Camp Staff; and Junior Counselors. CISV provides comprehensive orientation and training for all leaders.
Local work is the demonstration of CISV's commitment to local community development and the practice of peace through understanding and friendship.
National Camp is a one-week-long camp that is run every summer for junior branch members from all across the country.
