Personal Fundraising

You may raise funds towards travel expenses for two years after the time of travel.  The amount “earned” is split 50:50 with the chapter. Funds are kept track of and distributed to you annually.

Avgen Cards

Cards from many different companies available, with percent profit varying from company to company, split 50:50 with the chapter. Occurs on a monthly basis.  E-mails are sent out to the chapter with the information attached.   Louise McLaren is the Co-ordinator (randlmclaren@sympatico.ca.)

Bingo

Every four weeks, 6 volunteers are required to staff bingos.  Each volunteer raises $60 ($30 for the chapter, $30 for the individual account), with an extra $60 for the Captain (also split 50:50 with the chapter).   Stephanie Dore (sdore@rogers.com) organizes this.

Eat to Give

This is a process of purchasing grocery cards as well, where payment is made by direct bank debit and the cards are mailed to you (or whomever) on a regular basis.  The profit here is 3%, split 50:50 with the chapter.  This works well if you have family out of town who want to help you – cards can be mailed anywhere in Canada!  Contact Ted Bleaney regarding this (tbleaney@rogers.com).

Elmira Poultry Products

Various frozen chicken products are pre-sold to family and friends, delivered to the “Chicken Co-ordinator”, and available for pick-up several weeks later.  This occurs two or three times a year.  The chapter “earns” $5 for each box of chicken sold, split 50:50 with the member.  Bonny Bracken (bonnybracken@rogers.com) organizes this.

Zehrs Cards

Purchase gift cards for Zehr’s, receiving $4 for every $100 in cards that you purchase ($2 for the chapter, $2 for your account).  This is ongoing, and you can obtain cards from Ted Bleaney (tbleaney@rogers.com).

Zehrs Tapes

If you collect and tally Zehr’s tapes, you can “earn” money towards your fundraising account.  Zehr’s gives us $1.00 for every $450 of tapes, which is split 50:50 with the chapter.  Bundles must be tallied and bundled (in approximate bundles of $1000), with an accompanying tally sheet..  Linda Pettus (l_pettus@rogers.com) looks after this.
